ryan's metacognitive reflection
With the additional layer of ubiquitous classroom technology, it can be difficult to track the conversation, explore the assignment, and help your neighbor at the same time. This difficulty can be mitigated with the help of thoughtful tech-centric preparations.
Questions I need to train myself to ask reflexively:
Are the goals and task instructions clear for all levels of user?
What is the level of access required?
Did we block out enough time to 'play'/ explore with the task/tool?
Are the expectations around modality of expression clear (is it talk-time during this exploration)?
What material factors are required beyond the direct device? (Power cords/strips and Headphones)
Is the tool/ activity/ browser-agnostic?
